With the support of the Education for Employment in North Macedonia project, on the 24 of April 2019, a round table in Skopje was organized on the following topics:
- Does the legal framework for secondary vocational education and training enable us to have quality preparations of the youth whose knowledge and skills are adequate to the needs of the employers?
- Are there sufficient financial resources and what is the effective use of the financial resources in the system of secondary vocational education and training?
35 representatives from MoES, VETC, Economic Chamber of Macedonia, employers and schools, actively and sincerely discussed and shared ideas and experiences regarding the legal framework and the financing of the secondary vocational education and training. The participants have selected and indicated the main challenges, discussed about the way of overcoming those challenges and have identified the key institutions that need to contribute in order to overcome the challenges.
The basis for the discussions was the „Analysis of the legal framework and resources in the vocational education and training“ promoted by Biljana Trajkovska, state advisor for strategic planning and economic analyses in the Ministry of Education and Science. The analysis was evaluated as a document which in details defines the current conditions and that is comes in a time when the efforts of the institutions in RNM are all focused at the introduction of a more market oriented vocational education and training.
The document “Analysis of the legal framework and resources in the vocational education and training in Republic of North Macedonia” in short and long version in Macedonian language as well as in English language are available at the following link.
